Greg Wallace's Benefit

Last weekend we went to a benefit for Greg Wallace. A lot of fun things were planned for the evening. There were many silent aucion items to bid on throughout the night. We really wanted to win the free dance lessons, but we were out-bid on that one!The Bluedorns organized the event and did a spectacular job!
Jason was one of the auctioneers at a benefit last year, and even though..."interesting" things came out of his mouth, they still asked him back again! Melody was also asked to auctioneer, so she and Jason worked together up there. They bid against each other, started the bidding at a really high amount on an item they wanted, made wisecracks, bid against themselves, and...well...you get the idea. I really enjoyed watching and listening to them, and, judging by the laughter, I think everyone else did too!
Some of the yummy desserts for the live auction!
There were approximately 170 people in attendance that evening--it was great turnout!
New friends-Sage, Mandy, and John
Helena and John (with his coat inside out)
When this Jason and my brother are together it can be confusing.

The evening ended with dancing, and this Swedish dance was quite interesting.
The pie eating contest!~
Jason has participated in many pie eating contests. In many of them, the winner was the person who ate the entire pie (he's won all of those), but the goal in this contest was to see how much pie you could eat in 60 seconds.
This is definitely a fun event to watch!
If you're a die-hard, you really get messy!
Where's the messy face, John?
Ah, there's one! The guy in the above picture won, and I don't think Jason really cared. He looks a little sick to me.
One of the raffle items was a violin made and donated by the Wilson family. Melody really wanted to win, so every person in our family bought tickets for her. When one of her ticket numbers was called, she gave a little scream she was so excited. She couldn't wipe the grin off her face the rest of the night.
John has played fiddle for many years, so he helped her tune her new instrument.
Friends
We were glad to be a part of this special event. The total amount raised for Greg was over $25,000!

Our pictures were all accidentally deleted, so we used a friend's photos from the evening. We were disappointed because we had some really fun shots, but accidents happen. If you want to see more pictures, check out the link on our blog to Trivium Pursuit.

It looks like the Benefit was loads of fun...I wish we could have gone! Thank you for posting pictures from it, I greatly enjoyed viewing them! :-)

Oh! And to fix the post if you just go to your blogger dashboard, click on "edit posts" then click on edit (this post) and then at the bottom of the text box (where your post is) it says "Post Options" click that and then you just change the date to the current one (which will automatically move the post to the top)! :-) I hope that helped (and made any sense whatsoever. lol.)!

God bless and have a *wonderful* week!!

hi faith! great pics, i've enjoyed seeing people who went to the benefit post about it.

if you want this post to be on the top page all you have to do is: click edit posts under the posting button. then click edit on "greg wallace's benefit" and then right above the orange "publish post" button, there is a "post options" writing with a triangle next to it. you need to click on the triangle and then change the post date and time to when you'd like it.

sorry for the long post and hope this helps!
